Uber Exits Nigeria and Uganda Markets

Uber has announced its immediate departure from Nigeria and Uganda, ending over a decade of operations in Africa's most populous nation. This decision follows recent exits from Ivory Coast and Tanzania, and a global workforce reduction. The company stated the move is limited to these two markets, with operations continuing in Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. Uber cited financial shortcomings and competition from rivals like Bolt as reasons for its shrinking.
