Tiger Reintroduction Program Faces Weather Delays

Foresters are preparing to reintroduce a tiger to Buxa Tiger Reserve, with operations at Bihar's Valmiki Tiger Reserve temporarily halted due to persistent rainfall. Seven machans have been set up with baits to lure the tiger for safe capture. An airlift plan is being developed to transport the animal from Valmiki to Gorakhpur and then to Hasimara in North Bengal via an Indian Air Force helicopter.

वन अधिकारी बक्सा टाइगर रिजर्व में एक बाघ को फिर से छोड़ने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं, जबकि बिहार के वाल्मीकि टाइगर रिजर्व में लगातार बारिश के कारण अभियान अस्थायी रूप से रोक दिए गए हैं। बाघ को सुरक्षित पकड़ने के लिए सात मचान लगाए गए हैं जिनमें चारा रखा गया है। वाल्मीकि से गोरखपुर और फिर भारतीय वायु सेना के हेलीकॉप्टर से उत्तर बंगाल के हासीमारा ले जाने के लिए एक हवाई परिवहन योजना विकसित की जा रही है।
