India's gig internet workforce is projected to reach 17-21 million by 2030, according to Bengaluru-based firm Redseer. This growth spans sectors like delivery, ride-hailing, and home services. Full-time gig workers currently earn up to 2.5 times more than those in comparable formal and informal jobs. This trend highlights the increasing importance and economic potential of the platform economy in India.

बेंगलुरु की फर्म Redseer के मुताबिक, 2030 तक भारत में गिग वर्कर्स की संख्या 1.7 से 2.1 करोड़ तक पहुँच सकती है। यह बढ़ोतरी डिलीवरी, राइड-हेलिंग और होम सर्विसेज जैसे क्षेत्रों में होगी। अभी फुल-टाइम गिग वर्कर्स, इसी तरह के फॉर्मल और इनफॉर्मल जॉब्स करने वालों से 2.5 गुना ज़्यादा कमा रहे हैं। यह दिखाता है कि भारत में प्लेटफॉर्म इकोनॉमी का महत्व और आर्थिक क्षमता कितनी बढ़ रही है।
