Former minister T. Harish Rao of BRS has accused the Congress government of failing to address drought conditions, leading to the withering of crops across 12 lakh acres. He criticized the government for not procuring sufficient coal and energy in advance, and for failing to ensure 24/7 power for irrigation pumps. Rao pointed out that neighboring states like Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh have already announced relief measures for farmers and declared drought-affected mandals.

बीआरएस के पूर्व मंत्री टी. हरीश राव ने कांग्रेस सरकार पर सूखा की हालत से निपटने में नाकाम रहने का आरोप लगाया है, जिसकी वजह से 12 लाख एकड़ में फसलें सूख गईं। उन्होंने सरकार की आलोचना की कि उसने पहले से पर्याप्त कोयला और ऊर्जा का इंतजाम नहीं किया, और सिंचाई पंपों के लिए 24/7 बिजली सुनिश्चित करने में भी नाकाम रही। राव ने बताया कि महाराष्ट्र और आंध्र प्रदेश जैसे पड़ोसी राज्यों ने पहले ही किसानों के लिए राहत उपायों का ऐलान कर दिया है और सूखा प्रभावित मंडलों की घोषणा कर दी है।
