The posts, which appeared on October 16, claimed Rathee was arrested for disrespecting Hindu gods and inciting revolt, aiming to create panic and disturb law and order. Police confirmed Rathee was not arrested and that the information was baseless. The FIR cites sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act, highlighting the spread of anger, fear, and distrust towards the administration.

नोएडा पुलिस ने यूट्यूबर ध्रुव राठी की गिरफ्तारी की झूठी खबर फैलाने के आरोप में दो X यूजर्स के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। 16 अक्टूबर को पोस्ट किए गए इन पोस्ट्स में दावा किया गया था कि राठी को हिंदू देवी-देवताओं का अपमान करने और विद्रोह भड़काने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया था, जिसका मकसद घबराहट फैलाना और कानून-व्यवस्था बिगाड़ना था। पुलिस ने पुष्टि की कि राठी को गिरफ्तार नहीं किया गया था और यह जानकारी निराधार थी। एफआईआर में भारतीय न्याय संहिता और आईटी एक्ट की धाराओं का हवाला दिया गया है, जिसमें प्रशासन के प्रति गुस्सा, डर और अविश्वास फैलाने पर जोर दिया गया है।
