Dr Thiyagarajan SM, originally from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, completed his MBBS before joining the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2010. A year later, he successfully transitioned to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and is now a 2011-batch officer. He has served as district magistrate in several Bihar districts, including Gaya, Nalanda, and Darbhanga. Dr Thiyagarajan has now been assigned a director-level role in the Union Ministry of Cooperation in Delhi for a five-year central deputation, marking a new phase in his administrative career.

तमिलनाडु के कोयंबटूर के रहने वाले डॉ. थियागराजन एसएम ने एमबीबीएस पूरा करने के बाद 2010 में भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (आईपीएस) ज्वाइन की थी। एक साल बाद, उन्होंने भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (आईएएस) में सफलतापूर्वक बदलाव किया और अब वे 2011 बैच के अधिकारी हैं। उन्होंने बिहार के कई जिलों, जिनमें गया, नालंदा और दरभंगा शामिल हैं, में जिला मजिस्ट्रेट के रूप में काम किया है। डॉ. थियागराजन को अब दिल्ली में केंद्रीय सहकारिता मंत्रालय में पांच साल के केंद्रीय प्रतिनियुक्ति के लिए निदेशक स्तर की भूमिका सौंपी गई है, जो उनके प्रशासनिक करियर में एक नया चरण है।
