Banks To Remain Open Today For Retailers

Public sector and regional rural banks will stay open today, Sunday, following a directive from the Ministry of Finance. The Reserve Bank of India has also approved all bank branches, offices, and ATMs to operate fully. This decision provides relief to retailers who have expressed concerns about carrying cash due to recent theft incidents. The move comes ahead of a planned strike by public sector bank employees demanding a five-day work week.
