Dollywood's Bald Eagles Find New Permanent Home After 35 Years

After 35 years, Dollywood's non-releasable bald eagles will permanently reside at the American Eagle Foundation's new 50-acre campus in Kodak, Tennessee. The move follows storm damage to the sanctuary on April 19, which toppled a tree and damaged an aviary, leading to the escape of three eagles. While two escaped eagles with injuries remain missing, the foundation announced the permanent relocation on August 21, 2026. This consolidation aims to enhance eagle care, conservation, and education efforts in one location. Visitors can still see birds of prey at Dollywood.
