AIFF Elections Set for December 20; Federation Won't Fund India vs Brazil Match

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) will hold its fresh elections on December 20, following a decision made during a Special General Meeting in Kolkata. These polls were initially scheduled to occur at the end of Kalyan Chaubey's four-year term but were postponed due to the National Sports Governance Act 2025. During the meeting, it was confirmed that the substantial costs associated with the India vs. Brazil international match will not be borne by the Federation's coffers.
