TMC Leader Found Dead, Probe Into Possible Threat

A Trinamool Congress leader, Asish Banerjee, was found dead on Sunday morning at a party office in Rampurhat, Birbhum district. Police reported his body was found hanging and has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The exact circumstances of his death are still unclear. Banerjee, a former teacher, had represented the Rampurhat Assembly constituency five times.
