Andhra Pradesh is launching a national-level pilot project to construct rural homes using 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin scheme. The initiative will begin with 100 housing units in Burripalem and 77 units in Pothuru, with a total outlay of ₹13.93 crore. This automated construction method replaces traditional manual labour with a computer-controlled system, extruding cementitious materials layer by layer. Experts believe this cutting-edge approach could redefine national habitat development and address critical infrastructure shortages.
