Trade Bodies Withdraw No UPI Day Protest After Meeting Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman

Two trade bodies, AICPDF and AIMRA, have withdrawn their planned 'No UPI Day' protest on October 2 after meeting Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. They presented concerns regarding the proposed UPI merchant discount rate (MDR). The delegation requested deferring the MDR, increasing the ₹1 lakh threshold to ₹5 lakh, and excluding merchant-to-merchant transactions from MDR. They expressed hope for their issues to be considered and addressed appropriately.

दो व्यापारी संगठनों, AICPDF और AIMRA, ने वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण से मुलाकात के बाद 2 अक्टूबर को होने वाले 'नो यूपीआई डे' विरोध प्रदर्शन को वापस ले लिया है। उन्होंने प्रस्तावित यूपीआई मर्चेंट डिस्काउंट रेट (MDR) को लेकर चिंताएं जताई थीं। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने MDR को टालने, ₹1 लाख की सीमा को बढ़ाकर ₹5 लाख करने और मर्चेंट-टू-मर्चेंट लेनदेन को MDR से बाहर रखने का अनुरोध किया था। उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई कि उनके मुद्दों पर विचार किया जाएगा और उनका उचित समाधान निकाला जाएगा।
