India's CERT-In has revealed that hackers are increasingly using AI to target the banking sector. Recent advisories warn financial institutions, including banks and NBFCs, about a surge in cyberattacks aimed at financial gain. Hackers are leveraging AI agents to exploit systems at machine speed, with AI models successfully breaching live systems of Indian organizations during testing. This trend follows a recent incident where data from 3,900 State Bank of India customers was leaked, highlighting vulnerabilities in outdated software and misconfigured IT systems.
