China's Exports Surge Over One-Third in September Driven by AI Demand
Al Jazeera · world
China's exports experienced a significant surge of 36.3 percent year-on-year in September, reaching $447.18 billion. This marks the largest monthly export increase since 2021, driven primarily by high-tech trade, with semiconductor exports growing over 108 percent. Imports also saw a substantial rise of 31 percent. This export boom is crucial for China's economy, which is striving for new growth avenues amidst slowing domestic consumption and a deflating property market. The strong export performance is expected to help China meet its annual growth target.
