The Kerala High Court has denied a stay on the State government's order to reconstitute the Kerala State Waqf Board. A Single Bench of Justice S. Manu stated that the government has the authority to cancel appointments made to the previous board. The court acknowledged significant contentions raised by former chairperson K.S. Hamza and member C.K. Usman Haji, noting the reconstitution order is subject to the outcome of their petitions. केरल हाई कोर्ट ने राज्य सरकार के केरल राज्य वक्फ बोर्ड के पुनर्गठन के आदेश पर रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया है। जस्टिस एस. मनु की सिंगल बेंच ने कहा कि सरकार के पास पिछले बोर्ड में की गई नियुक्तियों को रद्द करने का अधिकार है। अदालत ने पूर्व अध्यक्ष के.एस. हमजा और सदस्य सी.के. उस्मान हाजी द्वारा उठाई गई महत्वपूर्ण आपत्तियों को स्वीकार किया, यह देखते हुए कि पुनर्गठन आदेश उनकी याचिकाओं के परिणाम के अधीन है। ये याचिकाएं पिछले अदालती निर्देशों और UMEED अधिनियम के उल्लंघन का हवाला देते हुए पुनर्गठन को चुनौती देती हैं।
