इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट की लखनऊ बेंच ने फैसला सुनाया है कि सुन्नी सेंट्रल वक्फ बोर्ड किसी जिला मजिस्ट्रेट को वक्फ संपत्तियों के राजस्व रिकॉर्ड में बदलाव करने का निर्देश नहीं दे सकता। अदालत ने साफ किया कि रिकॉर्ड म्यूटेशन के लिए उत्तर प्रदेश राजस्व संहिता में बताई गई खास प्रक्रियाओं का पालन करना होगा। बोर्ड के आदेश के आधार पर बदलाव की मांग वाली एक याचिका खारिज कर दी गई, क्योंकि अदालत ने जोर दिया कि सामान्य शक्तियां खास कानूनी प्रक्रियाओं पर हावी नहीं हो सकतीं।
