Uttarakhand Electoral Base Shrinks Over 10% Post Revision; Final List Has 7.16 Million Electors

Uttarakhand's final electoral roll, published by the Election Commission of India, now lists 7.16 million electors. This represents a net contraction of 10.1% compared to the roll before the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. The final list saw a slight increase of 25,164 electors from the draft roll published on July 14. Most deletions occurred during the initial SIR phase, with 827,000 electors classified as uncollectable or absent, shifted, dead, or duplicate. District-wise, Udham Singh Nagar recorded the highest proportion of net deleted electors.
