Indian Stock Markets Rally for Fifth Day on Foreign Inflows and Easing Crude Oil Prices

The Hindu - Business · business

Indian benchmark stock indices, Sensex and Nifty, extended their rally for a fifth consecutive day on Wednesday, driven by significant foreign fund inflows and declining crude oil prices. The Sensex climbed 288 points to 77,185.35, while the Nifty rose 77.25 points to 23,890.85 in early trade. Foreign Institutional Investors were net buyers, injecting Rs 6,836.81 crore into equities on Tuesday. Analysts attribute the market's positive sentiment to this reversal in FII stance, coupled with strong corporate earnings and attractive valuations in large-cap stocks.
