IPS Officer Anurag Sujania Resigns Amidst Hooch Tragedy Probe

Times of India · india

Madhya Pradesh IPS officer Anurag Sujania has resigned from his post citing personal reasons, just four days after being transferred from Sagar to Police Headquarters. Sujania was serving as the Superintendent of Police in Sagar and was overseeing the investigation into a recent hooch tragedy that claimed at least 16 lives. The transfer order, part of a district-level reshuffle, was issued on October 27. Insiders suggest the officer was unhappy with the timing of his transfer, although he officially cited personal grounds for his resignation.
