CJI Inaugurates India's First Victim Rights Centre

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant inaugurated the country's first Victim Rights Centre (VRC) at the Bihar State Legal Services Authority headquarters in Patna. The centre will offer a single window for free medical, psychological, legal, and social assistance to vulnerable individuals, including victims of sexual offences and the elderly. Additionally, the CJI launched mobile legal aid vehicles and a helpline for transgender persons. These initiatives aim to ensure justice reaches those in need and fulfill constitutional commitments.

भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश सूर्य कांत ने पटना में बिहार राज्य विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण के मुख्यालय में देश के पहले पीड़ित अधिकार केंद्र (VRC) का उद्घाटन किया। यह केंद्र यौन अपराधों के पीड़ितों और बुजुर्गों सहित कमजोर व्यक्तियों को मुफ्त चिकित्सा, मनोवैज्ञानिक, कानूनी और सामाजिक सहायता के लिए एक ही स्थान पर सुविधा प्रदान करेगा। इसके अतिरिक्त, मुख्य न्यायाधीश ने मोबाइल कानूनी सहायता वाहनों और ट्रांसजेंडर व्यक्तियों के लिए एक हेल्पलाइन की शुरुआत की। इन पहलों का उद्देश्य जरूरतमंदों तक न्याय पहुंचाना और संवैधानिक प्रतिबद्धताओं को पूरा करना है।
