A devastating fire at a shoe factory in Delhi's Mangolpuri Industrial Area on Friday night resulted in four fatalities and two injuries, bringing the capital's fire safety preparedness under intense scrutiny. The blaze, which broke out in the factory's basement, required over 20 fire tenders and three hours to control. Six individuals were rescued unconscious and later declared dead at a hospital.

दिल्ली के मंगोलपुरी इंडस्ट्रियल एरिया में शुक्रवार रात एक जूता फैक्ट्री में लगी भीषण आग में चार लोगों की मौत हो गई और दो घायल हो गए। इस घटना ने राजधानी की फायर सेफ्टी की तैयारियों पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। आग फैक्ट्री के बेसमेंट में लगी थी, जिसे बुझाने के लिए 20 से ज़्यादा फायर टेंडर्स और तीन घंटे का समय लगा। छह लोगों को बेहोशी की हालत में रेस्क्यू किया गया था, जिन्हें बाद में अस्पताल में मृत घोषित कर दिया गया।
