Hackers Target Oracle PeopleSoft Software Again

Google's cybersecurity unit reported that the ShinyHunters hacking group has resumed mass exploitation of a security flaw in Oracle's PeopleSoft software. This follows previous attacks in May and June that primarily affected universities. The hackers adapted to defenses and targeted organizations that had implemented web application firewalls but not applied Oracle's security update. The latest attacks have impacted dozens of systems globally across various sectors, including higher education, technology, healthcare, and government. This renewed exploitation raises concerns about the vulnerability of critical organizational functions.
