US Justice Dept Gives California 48 Hours To Flag Noncitizen Voters

The US Justice Department has given California officials 48 hours to review a list of alleged noncitizen voters or face legal action. Acting Deputy Attorney General R. Trent McCotter sent letters demanding the state refuse ballots to those on the list until citizenship is confirmed. Ballots already returned should not be tabulated until citizenship is determined. The department stated that allowing noncitizens to vote cancels citizen votes and warned of emergency relief if instructions are not followed.
