Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have overseen the signing of a defence cooperation deal and agreements for over $403 million in Saudi loans. The loans will support Syria's energy, housing, health, and infrastructure sectors. The defence agreement was highlighted as the most notable deal, with Syria considering joining a mutual defence pact. The leaders also discussed regional security, shipping safety, and energy supplies, calling for de-escalation and peaceful dispute resolution.
