Delhi Voter Rolls: 4.76 Million Names Removed, Only 250,000 Applications Filed

Delhi's electoral rolls saw 4.76 million names removed between August 31 and October 22, with only 250,754 Form 6 applications filed during this period. This number includes both new electors and those seeking to be reinstated. Special camps were organised to help voters return to the rolls, with 158,470 applications received between September 20 and October 22. The chief electoral officer stated that all applications will be processed before the final voter list is published on December 4.

31 अगस्त से 22 अक्टूबर के बीच दिल्ली की वोटर लिस्ट से 47.6 लाख नाम हटाए गए। इस दौरान सिर्फ 2,50,754 फॉर्म 6 आवेदन आए। इनमें नए वोटर और वे लोग शामिल हैं जो अपना नाम वापस जुड़वाना चाहते थे। वोटरों को लिस्ट में वापस लाने के लिए खास कैंप लगाए गए थे, जिनमें 20 सितंबर से 22 अक्टूबर के बीच 1,58,470 आवेदन मिले। मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी ने कहा कि 4 दिसंबर को फाइनल वोटर लिस्ट छपने से पहले सभी आवेदनों पर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
