Keralam DHS Appointment Challenged in Administrative Tribunal

Additional Director of Health Services (Planning), B. Unnikrishnan, has approached the Kerala Administrative Tribunal (KAT) challenging the selection process for the Director of Health Services (DHS) post. He claims his name was not considered by the selection committee despite being qualified and eligible. Unnikrishnan, who is differently-abled, alleges purposeful delay and lapses by the government in declaring his probation, which he believes unfairly denied him consideration for the DHS position. This follows recent controversy and a legal battle over the DHS appointment in June.

स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं (योजना) के अतिरिक्त निदेशक, बी. उन्नीकृष्णन ने स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं (डीएचएस) के निदेशक पद के लिए चयन प्रक्रिया को केरल प्रशासनिक न्यायाधिकरण (KAT) में चुनौती दी है। उनका दावा है कि चयन समिति ने योग्य और पात्र होने के बावजूद उनके नाम पर विचार नहीं किया। उन्नीकृष्णन, जो दिव्यांग हैं, सरकार द्वारा उनकी परिवीक्षा अवधि घोषित करने में जानबूझकर देरी और चूक का आरोप लगाते हैं, जिसके कारण उन्हें डीएचएस पद के लिए विचार से अनुचित रूप से वंचित कर दिया गया। यह जून में डीएचएस नियुक्ति को लेकर हालिया विवाद और कानूनी लड़ाई के बाद हुआ है।
