Ladakh Talks End Without Breakthrough; Next Round Scheduled For October 22

Talks between the Union Home Ministry and Ladakh leaders concluded without a significant breakthrough, with both sides expressing differing views on a draft proposal for constitutional safeguards and a legislature. The Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance voiced dissatisfaction with the Centre's proposal. Representatives from both sides will reconvene in New Delhi on October 22 to present and discuss their respective proposals further. The ongoing discussions aim to address demands for protecting Ladakh's land, identity, culture, and creating employment opportunities.

गृह मंत्रालय और लद्दाख नेताओं के बीच हुई बातचीत किसी खास नतीजे के बिना खत्म हो गई। दोनों पक्षों ने संवैधानिक सुरक्षा और विधायिका के मसौदे पर अलग-अलग राय जाहिर की। लेह एपेक्स बॉडी और कारगिल डेमोक्रेटिक अलायंस ने केंद्र के प्रस्ताव पर असंतोष जताया। दोनों पक्षों के प्रतिनिधि 22 अक्टूबर को नई दिल्ली में फिर मिलेंगे ताकि अपने-अपने प्रस्तावों पर आगे चर्चा कर सकें। चल रही बातचीत का मकसद लद्दाख की जमीन, पहचान, संस्कृति की सुरक्षा और रोजगार के अवसर पैदा करने की मांगों को पूरा करना है।
