Agnipath Scheme Revised: Agniveer Tenure Extended, New Enrolment Route Opened

The Indian government has revised the Agnipath scheme, extending the tenure of Agniveers and introducing a new pathway for service in the armed forces. Originally recruited for four years, Agniveers will now have an option for an additional two-year engagement, making their total service period six years. This change aims to retain trained personnel, providing the army, air force, and navy with greater continuity and experience.

भारत सरकार ने अग्निपथ योजना में बदलाव किया है। अग्निवीरों का कार्यकाल बढ़ाया गया है और सेना में सेवा के लिए एक नया रास्ता खोला गया है। मूल रूप से चार साल के लिए भर्ती किए गए अग्निवीरों के पास अब अतिरिक्त दो साल के जुड़ाव का विकल्प होगा, जिससे उनकी कुल सेवा अवधि छह साल हो जाएगी। इस बदलाव का उद्देश्य प्रशिक्षित कर्मियों को बनाए रखना है, जिससे सेना, वायु सेना और नौसेना को अधिक निरंतरता और अनुभव मिलेगा।
