Indian Railways has introduced a dedicated pet box facility in its new Vande Bharat Sleeper trains, allowing passengers to transport dogs in a designated enclosure. This feature is part of the 16-coach trainset design, which also includes a separate luggage compartment. The pet box is an enclosure incorporated into the train's design to accommodate dogs during overnight journeys. While existing rules allow dogs in First AC compartments with consent, this new facility offers a more convenient option for overnight travel, though it specifically mentions dogs and not other pets.

इंडियन रेलवे ने अपनी नई वंदे भारत स्लीपर ट्रेनों में पालतू कुत्तों के लिए एक खास डिब्बे की सुविधा शुरू की है। इससे यात्री अपने कुत्तों को एक तय जगह में ले जा सकेंगे। यह 16-कोच वाली ट्रेन का हिस्सा है, जिसमें सामान रखने के लिए अलग जगह भी है। यह डिब्बा रात भर की यात्रा के दौरान कुत्तों को रखने के लिए बनाया गया है। हालांकि, अभी के नियमों के मुताबिक, फर्स्ट एसी में सहमति से कुत्तों को ले जाने की इजाजत है, लेकिन यह नई सुविधा रात की यात्रा के लिए ज़्यादा आसान होगी। इसमें सिर्फ कुत्तों का ज़िक्र है, दूसरे पालतू जानवरों का नहीं।
