The court expressed deep concern and anguish over repeated incidents, citing recent sensational cases. Justices JB Pardiwala and K. Vinod Chandran stated that the safety of women in the capital is no longer bearable. They emphasized the urgent need to fix accountability for the administration and police to curb these offenses.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली और एनसीआर क्षेत्र में महिलाओं के खिलाफ बढ़ते यौन अपराधों पर स्वतः संज्ञान लिया है। कोर्ट ने हाल के सनसनीखेज मामलों का हवाला देते हुए बार-बार होने वाली घटनाओं पर गहरी चिंता और दुख व्यक्त किया। जस्टिस जेबी पारदीवाला और के. विनोद चंद्रन ने कहा कि राजधानी में महिलाओं की सुरक्षा अब असहनीय हो गई है। उन्होंने इन अपराधों पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए प्रशासन और पुलिस की जवाबदेही तय करने की तत्काल आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।
