Parents Arrested in Kozhikode Over Infant's Suspicious Death

A couple has been arrested in Kozhikode in connection with the death of their four-month-old daughter. Police suspect the infant was fatally assaulted by her father, Shijin, while under the influence of alcohol. The mother, Anjana, was arrested for allegedly concealing information about the infant's death. The child died on October 1 last year after developing health complications. A post-mortem revealed serious injuries, including to the head, raising suspicions of foul play and leading to the parents' arrests on Friday.
