The IIIT Lucknow campus has been closed until Sunday due to significant flooding caused by the swollen Gomti River inundating large parts of the premises. Scheduled examinations have been postponed indefinitely, and electricity has been cut off for safety. Out of 800 hostellers, 500 have been relocated to the institute's second hostel or a nearby cancer hospital, while 300 chose to return home. The institute's dean stated that a decision on reopening will be made after assessing the situation, with online classes potentially continuing.

गोमती नदी में आई भीषण बाढ़ के कारण IIIT लखनऊ कैंपस को रविवार तक के लिए बंद कर दिया गया है। बाढ़ के पानी ने परिसर के बड़े हिस्से को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया है। निर्धारित परीक्षाएं अनिश्चित काल के लिए स्थगित कर दी गई हैं और सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर बिजली काट दी गई है। 800 हॉस्टलरों में से 500 को संस्थान के दूसरे हॉस्टल या पास के कैंसर अस्पताल में शिफ्ट कर दिया गया है, जबकि 300 छात्र अपने घर लौट गए। संस्थान के डीन ने कहा कि स्थिति का जायजा लेने के बाद फिर से खोलने का फैसला लिया जाएगा, और ऑनलाइन कक्षाएं जारी रह सकती हैं।
