Kerala High Court Pauses Waqf Board Functioning

The Kerala High Court has temporarily halted the functioning of the Waqf Board. This interim order was issued by a division bench, including Chief Justice Soumen Sen, while hearing petitions challenging the board's composition. The petitions were filed by BJP leader Shaun George and the Assembly of Christian Trust Services.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने वक्फ बोर्ड के कामकाज पर फिलहाल रोक लगा दी है। चीफ जस्टिस सौमेन सेन की डिविजन बेंच ने यह अंतरिम आदेश बोर्ड की संरचना को चुनौती देने वाली याचिकाओं पर सुनवाई करते हुए दिया है। ये याचिकाएं बीजेपी नेता शॉन जॉर्ज और असेंबली ऑफ क्रिश्चियन ट्रस्ट सर्विसेज ने दायर की थीं।
