Tamil Nadu Defends Two-Language Policy Against Hindi Imposition

He argued that suddenly burdening students with Hindi from Class VI is unfair, as their model schools already offer comparable education. The minister emphasized that the state's focus is on child-centric learning and improving school infrastructure over the next five years, despite pending central funds.

तमिलनाडु के शिक्षा मंत्री राजमोहन ने कहा है कि राज्य अपनी दो-भाषा नीति का कानूनी रूप से बचाव करेगा। उन्होंने नवोदय विद्यालयों में हिंदी थोपने का विरोध किया। उनका तर्क था कि छठी कक्षा से अचानक छात्रों पर हिंदी का बोझ डालना अनुचित है, क्योंकि उनके मॉडल स्कूलों में पहले से ही अच्छी शिक्षा मिल रही है। मंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य का ध्यान बच्चों पर केंद्रित शिक्षा और अगले पांच वर्षों में स्कूल के ढांचे को बेहतर बनाने पर है, भले ही केंद्र से पैसे मिलने में देरी हो रही हो।
