US Sanctions Two Mumbai Firms, Five Indians Over Iran Oil Trade

The US has imposed sanctions on two Mumbai-based firms, SSPL Solutions Private Limited and Samudra Marine Services Private Limited, along with five associated Indian nationals. These entities are accused of facilitating the trade of petroleum products from Iran. The sanctions are part of the US's Operation Economic Outcast, aimed at cracking down on Iran's revenue streams. The US Department of State stated that these actions target those bolstering the Iranian regime's critical revenue and enabling its illicit conduct. The Treasury Department also sanctioned additional entities involved in Iran's oil sales.

अमेरिका ने ईरान से पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों के व्यापार में मदद करने के आरोप में मुंबई की दो कंपनियों, एसएस पी एल सॉल्यूशंस प्राइवेट लिमिटेड और समुद्र मरीन सर्विसेज प्राइवेट लिमिटेड, के साथ-साथ पांच संबंधित भारतीय नागरिकों पर प्रतिबंध लगाए हैं। ये प्रतिबंध ईरान के राजस्व स्रोतों पर नकेल कसने के लिए अमेरिका के ऑपरेशन इकोनॉमिक आउटकास्ट का हिस्सा हैं। अमेरिकी विदेश विभाग ने कहा कि ये कार्रवाई उन लोगों को निशाना बना रही हैं जो ईरानी शासन के महत्वपूर्ण राजस्व को बढ़ा रहे हैं और उसके अवैध आचरण को सक्षम कर रहे हैं। ट्रेजरी विभाग ने ईरान की तेल बिक्री में शामिल अतिरिक्त संस्थाओं पर भी प्रतिबंध लगाए।
