Two Indian nationals have been charged in Florida for allegedly running a transnational scheme to distribute counterfeit Ozempic in the United States. Swapandip Roy and Vicky Ramancha are accused of obtaining fake drugs from China and selling them at discounted prices to US distributors. The scheme allegedly continued even after the FDA seized some counterfeit products and issued a warning. If convicted, they face up to 71 years in prison for smuggling and selling counterfeit drugs.
