CESC has set October 31 as the deadline for consumers in five districts to complete verification for the Gruha Jyothi scheme. CESC has achieved 81% progress in the exercise, collecting details from 19,67,919 out of 24,29,607 identified consumers. Over 2.36 lakh houses were found locked and 95,681 vacant, hindering data collection. Consumers unable to provide information are urged to visit their sub-division offices to complete the process before the deadline.
