Saptami Shradh Observed Today for Ancestors Who Died on the Seventh Lunar Day

Saptami Shradh, part of the 16-day Pitru Paksha, is observed today, for ancestors who passed away on the seventh lunar day of any month. This ritual aims to appease their souls and seek blessings. The observance includes Tarpana (offering water) and Pind Daan (offering rice balls). Auspicious timings for these rituals are during the Kutup and Rohin Muhurtas. Devotees also perform Panchbali, offer food to Brahmins, and donate to the needy to mitigate Pitru Dosha.
