Reports suggested over half the fleet was grounded due to delays and a shortage of parts, potentially impacting all US-made aircraft by year-end. The foreign ministry acknowledged intensive use and challenging maintenance but called availability rate reports false. A Belgian servicing company also denied erroneous reports of critical delays, stating measures are in place to maximise aircraft availability.
