Kankaria Lake Boating and Water Sports Resume After Two Years

Boating and water sports activities at Ahmedabad's Kankaria Lakefront are set to resume from Tuesday, after a hiatus of over two and a half years. The activities were previously halted following a boat capsize incident in January 2024. The City Waterside Safety Committee was formed to ensure compliance with Gujarat's Boating Policy and Standard Operating Procedures. Following the implementation of suggestions from committee meetings and verification of all necessary permits, certificates, and insurance documents, approval has been granted to commence operations.

अहमदाबाद के कंकड़िया लेकफ्रंट में नौका विहार और जल क्रीड़ा गतिविधियाँ मंगलवार से फिर से शुरू होने वाली हैं, जो ढाई साल से अधिक समय के अंतराल के बाद हो रहा है। ये गतिविधियाँ जनवरी 2024 में एक नाव के पलटने की घटना के बाद रोकी गई थीं। गुजरात की नौकायन नीति और मानक संचालन प्रक्रियाओं का अनुपालन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सिटी वाटरसाइड सेफ्टी कमेटी का गठन किया गया था। समिति की बैठकों से मिले सुझावों को लागू करने और सभी आवश्यक परमिट, प्रमाण पत्र और बीमा दस्तावेजों के सत्यापन के बाद, संचालन शुरू करने की मंजूरी दे दी गई है।
