10 Indian-Origin Changemakers Honored For Global Contributions

A list of ten individuals of Indian origin, comprising five women and five men, has been compiled to recognize their significant contributions to the world. These changemakers, many of whom now hold citizenship in other countries, maintain a connection to India through the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card. The OCI card offers a lifelong visa for those of Indian heritage to live and work in India indefinitely. Notable figures include astronaut Kalpana Chawla, Nobel laureate economist Abhijit Banerjee, and record-setting spacewalker Sunita Williams, all celebrated for their impactful work.
