Detroit Red Wings Suspend Captain Dylan Larkin Without Pay Amid Trade Standoff

Times of India · sports

The Detroit Red Wings have suspended captain Dylan Larkin without pay after he refused to play for the team unless traded. This decision escalates a dispute that began months ago when Larkin first requested a trade. Interim general manager Shawn Horcoff stated that the team will continue exploring trade opportunities but any deal must benefit the organization. Larkin, who has five seasons remaining on his contract with an $8.7 million average annual value, has a full no-trade clause and must approve any destination.
