The apology comes ahead of his Bengaluru concert scheduled for October 24, after a pro-Kannada organisation demanded the event's cancellation. In a video message, Nigam expressed his willingness to apologise repeatedly to preserve his 30-year relationship with Kannadigas, stating he did not want any misunderstanding to cause bitterness. He had previously compared a request to sing in Kannada to the Pahalgam terror attack, sparking widespread criticism.
