Centre Begins FY28 Budget Planning, Seeks New Spending Proposals

The Indian government has initiated preparations for the Union budget for fiscal year 2028 (FY28). Ministries and departments are being asked to submit new scheme and spending proposals early to secure necessary budget codes. The Department of Expenditure has opened online applications for these codes via the CGA's e-Lekha system. This advance process aims to allow ministries sufficient time to prepare their Detailed Demands for Grants and ensure proper accounting for proposed expenditures before final allocations.

भारत सरकार ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2028 (FY28) के लिए केंद्रीय बजट की तैयारी शुरू कर दी है। मंत्रालयों और विभागों से कहा जा रहा है कि वे आवश्यक बजट कोड सुरक्षित करने के लिए नई योजनाओं और खर्चों के प्रस्ताव जल्दी जमा करें। व्यय विभाग ने CGA के ई-लेखा सिस्टम के माध्यम से इन कोड के लिए ऑनलाइन आवेदन खोल दिए हैं। इस अग्रिम प्रक्रिया का उद्देश्य मंत्रालयों को अनुदान की विस्तृत मांग तैयार करने और अंतिम आवंटन से पहले प्रस्तावित खर्चों के लिए उचित लेखांकन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पर्याप्त समय देना है।
