SC Seeks Rajasthan Report On Forest Ranger's Death

The Supreme Court has directed the Rajasthan government to submit a report concerning the death of forest ranger Pratap Singh Chundawat. He died on September 21 after allegedly being dragged by a dumper while attempting to stop it, amid suspicions of illegal mining. The court is examining the ongoing issue of illegal sand mining within the Chambal sanctuary. Rajasthan's Additional Advocate General stated the incident was unrelated to the sanctuary and assured.
