ED Officer, Head Constable Arrested in Lucknow for Demanding ₹5 Lakh Bribe

The CBI has arrested an Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer and a head constable in Lucknow for allegedly demanding a ₹5 lakh bribe. Enforcement officer Deepak Kumar and head constable Manoj Dwivedi, both posted at the ED's Lucknow Zonal Office, were taken into custody. The complaint stated that Dwivedi demanded the bribe from the complainant's father to help him in an ED case. A trap was set, and Dwivedi was apprehended while accepting the bribe on behalf of Kumar.

सीबीआई ने लखनऊ में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) के एक अधिकारी और एक हेड कांस्टेबल को कथित तौर पर ₹5 लाख की रिश्वत मांगने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। ED के लखनऊ जोनल ऑफिस में तैनात प्रवर्तन अधिकारी दीपक कुमार और हेड कांस्टेबल मनोज द्विवेदी, दोनों को हिरासत में ले लिया गया। शिकायत में कहा गया था कि द्विवेदी ने ED मामले में मदद करने के लिए शिकायतकर्ता के पिता से रिश्वत मांगी थी। जाल बिछाया गया और कुमार की ओर से रिश्वत स्वीकार करते समय द्विवेदी को पकड़ा गया।
