Mother's Voter List Omission Not Grounds To Stall Son's Police Verification: HC

The Calcutta High Court has ruled that a mother's name being removed from the voter list is not a valid reason to halt her son's police verification for a constable job. The court directed the inspector general of police to complete the verification for 22-year-old Abdul Hamid Sk within 48 hours. Justice Krishna Rao stated that since Abdul's own name was on the voter list and he had cast his vote, the deletion of his mother's name should not impede the process.

कलकत्ता हाई कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया है कि माँ का नाम वोटर लिस्ट से हटा दिया जाना, उनके बेटे के कांस्टेबल की नौकरी के लिए पुलिस वेरिफिकेशन रोकने का कोई जायज़ कारण नहीं है। कोर्ट ने इंस्पेक्टर जनरल ऑफ पुलिस को 22 वर्षीय अब्दुल हामिद स्क के वेरिफिकेशन को 48 घंटे के अंदर पूरा करने का निर्देश दिया। जस्टिस कृष्णा राव ने कहा कि चूंकि अब्दुल का नाम वोटर लिस्ट में था और उन्होंने वोट डाला था, इसलिए उनकी माँ का नाम डिलीट होने से प्रक्रिया में रुकावट नहीं आनी चाहिए।
