Coimbatore North Railway Station To Get Three More Platforms

Southern Railway plans to construct three additional platforms at Coimbatore North railway station to accommodate more originating trains and ease congestion at Coimbatore Junction. The railway authority also intends to develop Thudiyalur railway station into a crossing station, which involves track doubling to enhance connectivity. This development is subject to land availability and feasibility assessments. Discussions are also underway for doubling lines between Kanyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram, and a proposal to extend six trains from Coimbatore to Mettupalayam is awaiting approval.

Southern Railway कोयंबटूर उत्तर रेलवे स्टेशन पर तीन अतिरिक्त प्लेटफॉर्म बनाने की योजना बना रहा है ताकि ज़्यादा ओरिजिनेटिंग ट्रेनों को समायोजित किया जा सके और कोयंबटूर जंक्शन पर भीड़ कम हो सके। रेलवे अथॉरिटी थुदियालुर रेलवे स्टेशन को क्रॉसिंग स्टेशन के रूप में विकसित करने का भी इरादा रखती है, जिसमें कनेक्टिविटी बढ़ाने के लिए ट्रैक डबलिंग शामिल है। यह विकास भूमि की उपलब्धता और व्यवहार्यता आकलन के अधीन है। कन्याकुमारी और तिरुवनंतपुरम के बीच लाइनों को डबल करने पर भी चर्चा चल रही है, और कोयंबटूर से मेट्टुपालयम तक छह ट्रेनों को बढ़ाने का प्रस्ताव मंजूरी का इंतजार कर रहा है।
