Nemom Railway Terminal's First Phase Nears Completion, Targets March 2027 Launch

The first phase of the Thiruvananthapuram South railway terminal at Nemom is on track for a March 2027 commissioning, aiming to alleviate congestion at Thiruvananthapuram Central. Approximately 70% of the work is finished, with the main building structure and pit lines nearing completion. The terminal will feature four platforms, five tracks, a subway connecting platforms, and accessibility features like lifts and escalators. The railways is also planning a second phase to enhance capacity for long-distance trains, with a decision on train allocation expected in early 2027.

नेमोम रेलवे टर्मिनल का पहला चरण पूरा होने वाला है, मार्च 2027 में लॉन्च का लक्ष्य

नेमोम में तिरुवनंतपुरम साउथ रेलवे टर्मिनल के पहले चरण का काम मार्च 2027 तक पूरा होने वाला है। इसका मकसद तिरुवनंतपुरम सेंट्रल में भीड़ कम करना है। लगभग 70% काम पूरा हो चुका है, जिसमें मुख्य बिल्डिंग और पिट लाइन का काम लगभग खत्म होने वाला है। टर्मिनल में चार प्लेटफॉर्म, पांच ट्रैक, प्लेटफॉर्म को जोड़ने वाली एक सबवे और लिफ्ट व एस्केलेटर जैसी सुविधाएं होंगी। रेलवे लंबी दूरी की ट्रेनों की क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए दूसरे चरण की भी योजना बना रहा है। ट्रेनों के आवंटन पर फैसला 2027 की शुरुआत में आने की उम्मीद है।
