Jared Goff Nears Joe Montana's Passing Record With 128 Yards Needed

Times of India · sports

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is on the verge of surpassing NFL legend Joe Montana on the all-time regular-season passing yards list. Goff needs just 128 yards against the Carolina Panthers to move past Montana's career total of 40,551 yards. This milestone holds personal significance for Goff, who grew up a fan of Montana's San Francisco 49ers. The opportunity arises against a Panthers defense weakened by injuries to both starting cornerbacks, Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson.
